Day 3

At breakfast, our friend Ray Carlson told us about a special mass at Sacré-Coeur. Sacré-Coeur is a beautiful 20th century basilica located in Montmartre with ovoid domes and huge bell tower. Inside the main dome there is a great mosaic of Christ. The mass was sung by a choir of Benedictine sisters. No pictures were allowed (that was strictly enforced) and I couldn't record the wonderful singing, so you will have to use your imagination here. You can learn more about Sacré-Coeur by clicking here .

It was a cloudy day, so not many pictures. After lunch at a brasserie, we went to the Musée d'Orsay. Once again the paintings in the gallary are well known new pictures such as the Van Gogh below. The museum itself is worth seeing. It is an old train station that was converted to an art museum while maintaining its original form.
